It is updated in the background.  As long  as you can see it's window, you can be running StudioVision, Digital  Performer, ProDeck, Deck or whatever and have a running update of how much  record time is left. FreeSpace has only been tested with StudioVision and  Sound Designer II.  If you are using different software check it out on  something that doesn't matter first so I'm not responsible for fatal  crashes.  It has proved *very* stable with StudioVision.

I have a Mac Plus and I wanted to use 8 bit samples with midi  at home. Now this stack, which is compiled from several different stacks,  has tempo and pitches. The way to play the sounds is command P or under the menu Sound Controls. So to play midi its command ] and it should play  together if you put snd reasources in your stack and sequence a midi file  in either track 1 or 2. This stack has some bugs in it so please e-mail me  if your having problems or you just want to give me some ideas. There will  be an update in a month or so.

If the Caps Lock key is down, the  dialog doesn't pop up and the sound volume is directly set to 0. After the  sound volume has been changed, the standard beep will be played at the new  volume.

All your system beeps will be  asynchronous, and if you have a Mac with the Apple Sound Chip (all Macs but the 68000-based have it) you'll hear more than one beep at a time. You may  also drop AIFF and System7 sound files on Mr.Drop to play them while you  keep working (multi-megabyte files can be played without any trouble).

It can also assist in optimizing port dimensions for vented  systems.  The XFCN's used do the math for sealed and ported boxes.  They  were originally done in HyperTalk but proved to be too slow when computing  300 points. Finally, the stack will allow overlaying a couple designs on a  single plot for comparison purposes.

If one has eight SUS's, then the files should be named ".SoundA" thorugh ".SoundH".  The first time through, ".SoundA will  be renamed StartupSound.  The next time, StartupSound will named back to  ".SoundA" and ".SoundB" will be named StartupSound.  And so on...

In other words, Speed Beep offers  asynchronous sound playing of system beeps.  In addition, you can select a  group of sounds for your Macintosh to beep from at random (if you wish),  and you can cause more than one beep to play at once (if your Macintosh  hardware and software support multiple sound playing). This version fixes  an incompatibility with the Disinfectant 2.5.1 system extension and other  minor problems; I recommend that all users of earlier versions download  this upgrade.

It's a very simple way to quickly decide which CD tracks go on which side of a cassette when you record it.  All you do is enter the minutes/seconds of each track on the disc and the template 'splits' the CD into the two closest matched sides according to time.
